Gubi to launch Jacques Adnet-designed mirrors at London Design Festival
Danish design house Gubi will launch another original 1950’s design, Adnet Rectangulaire, of French modernist icon Jacques Adnet at London Design Festival 2012.
Adnet Rectangulaire is a leather trimmed mirror but rectangular in form. It is designed as a contrasting yet striking expression of Adnet’s singular design style.
Adnet Rectangulaire mirrors are available ranging from the naturally tanned, full-grain aniline, hand-stitched leather frame to the equestrian-influenced oxidized brass rivets. It reflects the signature style and quality of Gubi’s award-winning Adnet Circulaire mirror that was launched in late Autumn 2011.
The deceptively simple, flexible and strap-free design of the latest mirror will create a different aesthetic and can be displayed wall-mounted or freestanding. Adnet Rectangulaire will be available in black or tan full grain leather and three sizes: S (50 cm x 70 cm), M (65 cm x 110 cm), and L (70 cm x 180 cm).
The new Adnet Collection will be available online at www.gubi.com and at selected retailers by late November 2012. The new collection will be displayed on Gubi’s Stand, S5 & S6, at designjunction from 19-23 September 2012.
