Green Ballast installs smart lighting solution in US parking facility
US-based Green Ballast Inc. has installed patented fluorescent light ballasts in a structured parking garage facility developed by Belz Enterprises in Memphis.
The vapour tight florescent fixtures equipped with fluorescent light ballasts have been installed in the parking garage. The new fixtures claim to reduce electric lighting usage in the facility by up to 72% per year.
Replacing the existing standard ballast, the new lighting solution adjusts power consumption for each lighting fixture as well as measures and harvests the available daylight to calculate and provide only the needed amount of electricity for proper lighting.
It is a "plug and play" solution and has controls within each ballast, which provides simple and efficient installation and ongoing maintenance.
