Graham wins $10 million Bridgegate House renovation project in Scotland

UK-based Graham Construction has secured a £6.5 million ($10.08 million) contract from the North Ayrshire Council for the renovation of Bridgegate House in Irvine, Scotland.

The purpose of the project is to transform the building into an office block, which will be undertaken by means of complete transformation of the building's exterior as well as interior. The renovated Bridgegate House will also accommodate a new customer centre for the North Ayrshire Council.

Scope of work involves complete overhaul of the building's exterior by means of replacement of the existing frontage with a cleaner, brighter and more modern look. The building will feature new glazing, which will assist in adding contemporary flavor to the Irvine's shopping centre area.

The new customer centre will be located at the High Street entrance of the building. The entire project has planned in two phases, with phase I scheduled for completion in early 2013 and phase II is anticipated to come online by August 2014.
