Glenview Park District Administration Office opens after upgrades
The Park District Administration Office in downtown Glenview, Illinois, US has been dedicated after a one-year renovation project worth $3.5 million.
The 1929-built structure, which is the village’s oldest public building, encompasses two floors sporting a Tudor Revival design. The project involved a 1,700 square feet addition to the interior of the building along with a 350 square feet addition to its exterior portion.
The two wings on the facility's second level have now been connected to offer space for more offices. The architectural character of the building has been kept intact with muted shades, wood, window transits above doorways and an ironwork stairway adorning its interior. The look is complemented by use of ornate bricks, gabled roofs and some of the stone work.
The project has also installed new electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems in the building and replaced the windows.
