Garbett Homes wins Gold Nugget Grand Award for Solaris Collection in Utah


Utah's affordable solar-powered and geothermal homes, the Solaris Collection at Daybreak in South Jordan, has secured Gold Nugget Grand Award for the Residential Project of the Year in the detached product category.


Designed by KTGY Group, the solar homes are located at 4837 West Fish Hook Road, within the mixed-use, sustainable planned community of Daybreak in South Jordan.

All the single family homes of the development feature solar PVT (Photovoltaic Thermal) panels, geothermal heating and cooling, and a super-tight energy-efficient building envelope with HERS ratings under 40 in a Climate Zone 5, which bring about a monthly power saving of up to 70%.

Externally, all the homes have eclectic, modern finish, which has been created innovatively using fiber-cement siding. The homes have been done up in vibrant colour, which add to the appeal. The homes span between 1,700 to 2,500 square feet and are priced onwards $200,000.

The homes have been built by US-based Garbett Homes which has also secured a Gold Nugget Award of Merit, for Solaris, in the category of Single Family Detached Home.
