Drawing competition for architects and designers everywhere – with a £500 prize!

Welcome to the second stage of the drawing competition we are running in FX and our sister magazine Blueprint. From the September issue over the next three months it aims to test your creativity and inventiveness. There is a £500 cash prize up for grabs too - thanks to the generosity of The Building Centre.

Each month experts will be giving top tips on how to improve your drawing skills - and we want to see the drawings you produce. They can be visual explanations of structures, concepts, or pure forms - this visual vocabulary will enable you to transfer ideas to engineers, clients and contractors.

This month: Isometrics
Next month 3: Single-point perspectives

It's up to you to use the templates to draw anything from a skyscraper to a hairbrush. You choose the scale. The best of your entries will be posted on Drawing At Work gallery, as well as Blueprint and FX websites.
