Fulton Bank embarks on headquarters expansion project in Pennsylvania

Fulton Bank, a subsidiary of Fulton Financial Corporation (FULT), has embarked on an expansion project to expand its headquarters at Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

The bank has engaged the services of BSA+A and Francis Cauffman to expand and redevelop its headquarters at 23 E. King Street in downtown Lancaster. The bank has roped in RFA Architecture (RFAA) as the Strategic Design Consultant on the scheme.

The company plans to demolish the existing building and replace it with a six-storey mixed-use office building. The new environment friendly and energy efficient building will accommodate office space, common area space, retail space, residential units, and some public and private parking spaces. The new building will provide space for 225 employees.

The bank is also planning to build a pedestrian bridge over Christian Street, to link the new building to its existing Penn Square offices. Demolition at the site is scheduled to begin in April 2013 and the building is scheduled to be available by the first quarter of 2015.
