Fox Sports opens new studio in Los Angeles

Fox Sports, a division of the Fox Broadcasting Company, has opened a new studio in Los Angeles that features sweeping views of a virtual stadium.

Designed by New York-based design practice Clickspring Design and fabricated by television scenery builder blackwalnut, the new studio features a stadium-like look from a window made of 110 monitors, reports NewscastStudio.

Featuring the new logo of Fox Sports throughout the environment, the new studio offers an interview area, demonstration field, stand up walls and two editorial positions. The standup area offers three, 103 inches monitors that are over 8 inches tall.

Hanging from a circular track, the movable monitor panels create an interesting environment. These 2×4 monitor arrays can then be moved into multiple configurations, creating dynamic backgrounds around homebase.

The studio also features a sky dome above the homebase, which uses backlit panels to change to any colour. In the centre of the dome are multiple monitors, creating a stylish and modern environment.
