Forest Park Medical center in San Antonio completes first phase

The Forest Park Medical Center San Antonio, which is a $95 million specialty surgical hospital and medical office building in Texas, has completed the first phase of the master planning and design work carried out by BOKA Powell.

Designed with a hospitality-oriented focus, patient care, and amenity offerings, the new hospital is a four-storied building, which will feature 54 beds, including 16 VIP patient suites, 12 operating rooms, two procedure rooms, diagnostic imaging suites, and in-house pharmacy services.

Adding to it, the hospital will also feature a dining facility, which will offer chef-prepared foods, a coffee bar, and peaceful outdoor spaces, including self-sustaining green roof systems.

Designed to provide maximum comfort to the patients, the rooms will include couches that convert to queen-size beds for guests. For additional privacy, VIP suites will feature a separate room for family and guests. All the VIP suites will be equipped with a kitchenette, entertainment options, and a sleeping area.

BOKA Powell served as design architect for the Forest Park Medical Center San Antonio, working with the owner and developer, the Neal Richards Group.
