Forbo Flooring supplies entrance matting for Aviva Stadium
UK-based flooring manufacturer and supplier Forbo Flooring System has supplied its entrance matting system for the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
The facility, built to host national football and rugby matches, along with other events, has a maximum seat capacity of 50,000. The brief for the entrance matting, as specified by Scott Tallon Walker and Populous, called for one which could withstand heavy use and was visually pleasing. The criteria has been met by Forbo Flooring's Nuway Tuftiguard entrance matting system which has been installed in the stadium's entrance areas. It is strong and aesthetic and also comprises moisture absorbing features for anti-slip safety.
All the internal premium entrance areas on the ground level of the east and south stands and the third storey of the west stand, as well as the players and VIP entry zones have been equipped with Nuway Heavy Duty Classic entrance matting. The matting sports a grey pile wiper strip and an aluminium scraper bar which allows easy scraping and retention of soil and moisture from shoe soles or wheels of vehicles. In addition, all the general level turnstiles on the first floor have incorporated a Nuway Tuftiguard Plain. It features an unbuffed wiper strip as well as a scraper bar made of aluminium.
