FishHawk Ranch Tennis Club Information Centre bags LEED Silver
The FishHawk Ranch Tennis Club Information Centre in Florida, US has received LEED Silver from the US Green Building Council.
The centre imbibes a host of green features such as a HVAC system with a 16 SEER and R410A refrigerant which reaps energy cost cuts. It has also been equipped with low E insulated glass comprising spectrally selective window tint. The sealed attic area of the facility makes use of a R-40 spray foam insulation which cuts down energy consumption by an overall 20%.
The property has been fitted with water-efficient plumbing fixtures which lead to a fall in potable water usage by 59%. It also employs other measures to decrease water consumption like use of non-potable water for its irrigation system. Use of 30% of locally-sourced building materials, and diversion of 76% of its construction waste from reaching the landfills add to the sustainability of the facility.
