Etienne Esmenjaud launches new panelled lighting system
Etienne Esmenjaud, a UK-based product designer, has launched a new panelled lighting system called Bud Lampshades.
The perforated flat pack lamps have been created using low-impact and easy to handle materials, such as FSC wood and felt. Each lamp has six identical plywood pieces, which are laser-cut, pierced and assembled to create a three-dimensional functional object.
The pieces can be easily folded, which makes storage and transport easy. The plywood for the line is made from natural birch plywood, which has been sourced from sustainably sourced trees.
The lamps are available in two shapes, round and long. The round units are 34cm high and 25cm wide. The long shades are 45cm high and 19cm wide. The lamps will be marketed by UK-based Desinature.
