Emirates opens new lounge in San Francisco airport
Emirates has opened a new lounge in San Francisco International Airport in California, US.
The new airport lounge is the first one to be opened by the airlines in the West Coast. It has been created to serve First and Business class passengers, as well as Skywards Gold members traveling from San Francisco to Dubai.
The lounge covers an area of 9502 square feet and encompasses two floors. It houses the largest dining space of all lounges of the airport. It is the also the airport's only lounge to feature a dedicated prayer room. The new lounge has been adorned with Italian marble floors, gold clocks from Rolex and joinery in rich timber.
The new lounge has a capacity to seat a maximum of 130. It has been fitted with a pair of 60 inch LED TVs, 56 leather armchairs, shower facilities and a business centre. The dining space of the lounge sports both formal and informal seating arrangements along with a full bar service. The lounge incorporates purpose-built elevators. There is an internal staircase which links the third-floor reception entryway with the lounge below and allows direct access to the boarding bridge.
