Emerson College breaks ground on new facility
Emerson College has broken ground on a new facility in Los Angeles, California, US.
The building has been designed by Thom Mayne and will cover ten floors. It will sport a sleek, futuristic style featuring a three-level parking garage below it. The first storey of the building will be fitted with large windows while its fifth floor will incorporate a park featuring trees and gardens. The building facade will don a glimmering silver tone.
The facility will feature residence halls, classrooms, as well as administrative areas to serve undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies students. In addition, the building will employ several green measures conforming to LEED Gold standards.
The structure is slated to complete construction by 2014 end.
