Elliott provides bespoke offices for West Midlands company


UK-based Elliott Modular Buildings has provided temporary office accommodation to a West Midlands company using its Progress system.


The temporary accommodation was provided for 300 staff members. Two high specification modern office buildings were completed on an agreed schedule, which was at least 12 months shorter than a traditional build would have taken. A total of 54 Progress modules over two buildings (26 and 28 modules per building) have been used to create a total floor area of 2,008 square metre.

The Progress system saved the client around 70% of the cost of a permanent build and created a modern, energy-efficient office space that is fully compliant with Building Regulations.

Progress is an innovative modular building system that maximises natural light by incorporating floor to ceiling fully glazed panels, allowing clients to gain all the benefits of maximum natural light. Available in a choice of module sizes, the high specification system creates a professional, working environment. Progress modules can be designed up to three storeys and provide layout options to meet all client and user requirements.

Additional facilities can be created by the use of a roof terrace with balcony or covered patio creating an ‘open air’ space. Internal partitions in the form of solid walls are provided for privacy or fully glazed partitions for creating more natural light. The modules are fitted with features that attenuate sound reverberation as standard.

Large glazed panels along the length of the buildings and on each of the end walls create bright, airy spaces. The interiors are further enhanced by high specification fittings. These include built-in kitchens and toilet facilities with fully integrated panelling systems to the vanity units and WCs.

Progress system has also allowed the client sufficient flexibility to meet future expansion requirements because the design allows for additional modules to be added if more space is required.
