Downing to complete Lyra student accommodation scheme in North Acton
Liverpool-based urban project developer Downing will complete a modern student accommodation scheme, named as the Lyra in North Acton, which will provide an urban living standard to the students.
Spread over 80,000 square feet of space, the scheme in North Acton features two adjacent seven- storied buildings, which is designed to provide 209 high quality studio apartments. These apartments have an approximate end value of £30 million ($45 million). The two adjacent buildings also feature retail space at the ground floor.
Designed to achieve a BREEAM rating of 'excellent', the development also includes the creation of two new community parks - a pocket park and a biodiversity park.
The scheme is scheduled to be completed by August 2013.
