Diana Yacht Design creates 63-metre Diana Navitas green super-yacht
Dutch design firm Diana Yacht Design has come up with the design of a 63-metre green super-yacht named Diana Navitas.
The naval architecture and exterior design of the vessel will be done by Diana Yacht Design. The guest cabins will be positioned in the lower and main deck of the yacht. The main deck of the yacht will also comprise a space to house the crew members of the yacht. The owner's suite, on the private sundeck, will be spacious. The suite will feature a jacuzzi and will offer 180 degree glimpses of the surrounding area. Among the various other features of the vessel are a sky lounge, gym, salon, various large sundecks, a beach club with a pool, and extendable swimming platforms.
All the suites and major accommodations of Diana Navitas will feature touch screens which will help monitor its complete energy system. It will comprise a lightweight and slim aluminum hull and structure to save weight and fuel. The cooling water procured from the generators and water heated by the solar panel will allow absorption cooling of the vessel, thereby serving as an energy-efficient air-conditioning unit.
The yacht will also be properly insulated while being equipped with energy-saving LED-powered lighting fixtures. It will sport an advanced energy management system to slash carbon footprint and offer maximum profit from solar radiation captured by PV cells. In addition, the energy generated by the solar panels and generators which is not used to propel the vessel will be directly stored in the battery package.
The super-yacht is expected to operate at a top speed of 12 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots.
