The city of Diamond Bar, in association with the County of Los Angeles, inaugurated the new Diamond Bar Community Library on 28 July 2012 in Diamond Bar, California.

Located at 21800 Copley Drive, the new Diamond Bar Community Library has been designed by US-based LPA Incorporated. The library is a 17,000 square feet facility, which occupies the first floor of the City Hall building and replaces the former 9,935 square foot building.

The design of the new library hints of the history of Diamond Bar. It houses a replica of the Transamerica building, which doubles as a book display. The library accommodates a large children's area that is complete with a Family Place, storytime area, and early literacy computer workstations. Teen zone of the new facility has a group study room, 37 public computer workstations, and videogaming area. The new library also offers free Wi-Fi Internet access, and has three self-checkout stations.

The new library features a ‘Friends of the Library’ bookstore. The spacious bookstore bathes in natural light. The library also has an outdoor reading garden featuring a mosaic tile art piece by artist Frank Matranga, which was formerly installed at the Grand Avenue library. The relocation of the art work was undertaken by Art conservators from Silverlake Conservation. The team took off each of the 170 tiles off the wall and reconfigured at the new location, where it can now be seen as one whole piece.

The facility has been developed to make the grade for LEED Commercial Interiors Silver Certification.
