DESSO to showcase 'Designed for Disassembly' products at Ecobuild 2013
Europe-based DESSO will showcase products that are designed to be easily disassembled on its stand S720 at Ecobuild 2013 at ExCel in London, which will be held from 5-7 March.
Themed as ‘Designed for Disassembly’, the European carpet manufacturer Desso will educate the visitors about the benefits of moving beyond ‘mere’ sustainability to a circular economy, where products are produced that are easy to disassemble, in order to create new products in an endless process of recycling.
Designed with disassembly feature, the products will be showcased to the visitors, who can cast a vote as to which one they believe to be the best innovation. Voters who select the most popular product will be entered into a prize draw to win one of the products from the shortlist.
Paying testament to the innovations Desso has brought to the market since adopting the Cradle to Cradle approach, the stand will showcase its unique carpet tile Take-Back scheme, Refinity process and its carpets made from ECONYL yarn, which is made from 100% regenerated nylon including post-consumer yarn waste from Desso’s own Refinity process.
The products, which will be displayed at Ecobuild 2013 will include, Light Reflection Master- a new carpet collection with high Light Reflectance Values (>30 LRV) - which means lighting systems do not have to use as much energy to provide a workplace with the required amount of light, saving on energy.
In addition to that six additional new colourways of DESSO AirMaster, which is eight times more effective in capturing and retaining fine dust than hard flooring will be displayed. Visitors will be able to view over 1,000 samples through the latest Desso Dialogue App on mounted iPads.
