Del-Sano Contracting Corporation, a US-based design and construction company, has completed construction of the Newark Clinton Avenue Homes, also called the HELP USA Genesis II Urban Renewal Project in the South Ward of Newark.

Located at 634 Clinton Avenue, Newark Clinton Avenue Homes is a sustainable residential scheme designed for Army veterans, which has been designed by US-based design practice Kramer Marks Architects.

 

The project comprises a four storey block which offers 56 affordable homes. The residential unites are mix of two and three bedroom rental units. The project also includes a community room; offices; a lounge; an exercise room; a children's playroom; a computer room; and a laundry room for the residents.

 

The building has been developed in compliance with sustainable practices. The sustainable elements of the development comprise superior indoor air quality, a vegetative green roof with a hardscaped terrace, and an indoor parking garage. The building has been constructed using low emission products and building materials.

 

The project is being targeted for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certification.
