Dedon launches new colorful Injoy chairs and tables in Salone del Mobile 2013
Germany-based furniture manufacturing firm DEDON has launched the new colourful Injoy collection of bistro chairs and tables in Salone del Mobile 2013, which has been designed by Eugeni Quitllet.
Paying a tribute to the terraces of the world, from Ibiza to Paris via Rome and New York, the Injoy collection has been created as a joyful swirl of color and conversation.
Inspired by Parisian macarons, the Injoy chairs collection come in a range of soft, inviting colors like peach, lemon, pistachio, blue mint, coconut and black pepper.
Designed with a distinct characteristic, the chairs feature an injection-moulded aluminum ‘H’ structure of their back legs. The specially machined aluminum tubes make up the rest of the chair. The backrest becomes the armrest and tapers gently as front legs approach the ground.
Conveniently stackable, the chairs come in two versions, one with an open backrest and aluminum slats for the seat, the other with a fine herringbone weave over both backrest and seat.
Resembling the braided handle of a whip, the chair features sophisticated weaving, which is apparent on the armrests. To facilitate the weave, an innovative new fiber has been developed with microscopic bubbles, which provides it a luxuriously soft, leather-like texture.
Available in a choice of coconut or black pepper and fabricated entirely of aluminum, the Injoy tables, like the chairs, come in a state-of-the-art, pearly-finished powder-coating that is five times more resistant to scuffing than standard treatments.
The colourful tables are lightweight, strong, as well as weather-resistant.
