Debenhams opens new store in Indonesia


British department store chain Debenhams has opened a new department store in Indonesia, which is the brand’s second international opening in one month.


After the launch of the brand's first international store in Russia, the new store located within the Lippo Mall Kemang, aims at making the brand accessible to those in the south of Jakarta. Spread over 145,312 square feet, the new store comprises four floors, which occupies nearly a quarter of the Mall’s total space.

Offering fashions from world-renowned designers, fragrances and cosmetic area and a homeware collection, the store features areas created specifically for it. Alun-Alun offers traditional Indonesian products from local antiques and batik textiles to handicraft lovers. It also features a stationary corner, which offers a mix of fun gift-able items to the customers. Additionally, to encourage and support the young talents, the store features a retail space for young, local designers in a new concept called ‘D Space'.

The exclusive designer collections that are available in the new store includes Butterfly by Matthew Williamson, H! by Henry Holland, Rocha.John Rocha, Star by Julien Macdonald and Principles by Ben de Lisi.
