Courier Place Apartment Homes opens in California
WNC & Associates, Incorporation has teamed up with Jamboree Housing Corporation to open the Courier Place Apartment Homes affordable housing in California, US.
The three-level garden-style facility is located on a 3.34 acre-area on the former site of the Claremont Courier newspaper. It has been segregated into two separate sections including one for families and another for seniors.
The family apartments are housed in two buildings. The apartments consists of 36 two- and three-bedroom units. One building accommodates the apartments for seniors. The building will comprise 38 one-bedroom units, along with a recreation area and an elevator.
Other features of the community include laundry facilities, a clubhouse with offices, a mixed-use room, kitchen, computer lab, a swimming pool, patio dining space with barbecues, and a children’s playground.
In addition, the homes of the property incorporates various green features conforming to LEED Platinum standards. It includes installation of Energy Star-certified appliances and energy-saving lighting fixtures.
The project has been funded through various sources. They include WNC, the City of Claremont, Claremont Redevelopment Agency, US Bank, Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles, and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
