Highly praised in last year’s entries to the Forbo Flooring’s Fly Forbo design competition was the Thomson roll-out to its flagship travel stores, using Forbo’s wide portfolio including Westbond, Tessera carpet tiles and Sarlon vinyl.

Designers new and established have just a few more weeks to enter this year's competition, with a trip for two to Chicago, accommodation and entry into NeoCon 2014 as top prize. Entries must be received by the end of January.

Last year's Fly Forbo competition, which has been running in Australia for 12 years, was won by the William Morris Gallery by Karsten Weiss, of Pringle Richards Sharratt Architects, while highly commended was the Croxteth Community Primary School by Martin Shutt, of Architects 2020 Liverpool. Winning entries in the latest competition will feature in FX in spring.
