Costello & Welch introduces concrete side table
London-based design team Costello & Welch introduces a new concrete side table, which is inspired by the contrast between natural and manmade materials.
The concrete side table combines decayed concrete with wood and metal to create an on-trend piece, juxtaposing harsh industrial materials with the luxury of polished timber.
The table is similar to other products from the stable of Costello & Welch, which explore extreme finishes.
To achieve the decayed look, the heavily distressed concrete frame is cast in a wooden mould with inset steel reinforcement.
Each table is individually cast as a one off piece and finished with an inlaid metal top and wooden drawer, customised to order.
The side table’s dimensions include W550mm x H500mm x D500mm, and costs £648.
