Cooper Lighting and Safety launches Lechenti light

Doncaster, UK-based Cooper Lighting and Safety has introduced the Lechenti recessed luminaire.

The light, built to adorn modular suspended ceilings, fuses modern aesthetics with latest T5 fluorescent and LED technology. It comes in fully recessed or semi-recessed formats allowing options of lay-in or draw-up installations. The luminaire sports opalised side panels formed of TPa-rated polycarbonate. The panels offer controlled light distribution and transmission, and diffused lamp image. The light provides high efficacy and abides by Part L and LG7 norms with the help of a central louvre or microprism panel option. It measures 600 x 600mm.

Lechenti's emergency version comprises an integral LED featuring purpose-designed lens. It offers efficient light distribution in excess of 10m x 10m and leads to a fall in the total number of emergency fittings. It has a minimum span of three hours and has the capacity to imbibe self-test functionality.

The luminaire provides a light output ratio of over 80% along with an efficacy exceeding 60 L lm/cW for many variants. Its high-frequency control gear as standard can be customised in 3 x 14W or 4 x 14W configurations. The light also provides DALI or DSI dimming choices, and integrated lighting controls to reap energy cost cuts while enhancing customers' comfort level.
