Graham Construction Limited has reached a key construction milestone for an Aquatic Centre at Aberdeen Sports Village in Aberdeen, Scotland with the completion of the next stage of the 50 metre swimming pool and diving areas.

Upon completion of work, the swimming pool will feature 10 lanes and a dividing boom, which will split the pool into two separate pools. The pool will be enclosed by a seating area to accommodate 600 spectators.

The pool will feature a 25m x 16.5m Diving Pool featuring springboards and diving platforms. The platforms will utilise the latest technology in cushioning systems. The entire diving pool will incorporate Floating Floor technology which will also be implemented at 25% of the entire pool.

The other facilities at the centre consist of Full Timing/Video Analysis lab, Land Conditioning Area and Health Suite. The aquatic centre will be connected to the Aberdeen Sports Village through a bridge.

Graham has completed water integrity work and plans to begin steel structure work on the 50m training and competition swimming pool.

The Aquatics Centre is being jointly developed by the University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen City Council and sportscotland.
