Construction underway at Bilkent Integrated Health Campus in Turkey

Construction work is underway at Bilkent Integrated Health Campus in Turkey, poised to be Europe’s largest medical campus upon completion, which is being delivered by AECOM.

Bilkent Integrated Health Campus is spread over more than 247 acres, and is also touted as world’s largest medical campus when it completes. Located 4.35 miles south of the city of Ankara, the campus will offer 3,662 beds.

The medical campus will provide access to a full range of specialist facilities, including a 562-bed general hospital, a 574-bed women’s hospital, a 514-bed children’s hospital, a 425-bed cardiovascular surgery hospital, a 557-bed oncology hospital, a 412-bed neurological science and orthopedics hospital, a 300-bed physical therapy and rehabilitation hospital, a 198-bed psychiatric hospital, a 100-bed high-security forensic psychiatric hospital, a 20-bed burn unit, and a diagnosis and treatment centre.

A 100-bed clinic hotel, a congress centre, a shopping mall, and a fitness centre are also part of the campus.

The project is a public-private partnership that is part of a larger health care program within Turkey. Construction of the project is expected to be completed by 2016.
