Clarksville’s Belk store undergoes upgrades
Belk store in Governor’s Square Mall in Clarksville, Tennessee, US is undergoing a $2.5 million renovation.
The project will revamp the store's fashion department to provide expanded merchandise. The revamped facility will be equipped with advanced display fixtures, new tile flooring, ceilings following the makeover. It will also sport lighting systems running low on energy usage, upgraded restrooms and fitting rooms.
The remodelled facility’s new modern jewelry and accessories departments will incorporate open sell fixtures whereas the shoe department will undergo a facelift and expansion. The project will also involve relocation of the separate Belk Men’s Store in Governor’s Square into the main Belk store, and will consolidate operations for nearly 85,000 square feet of retail space.
Construction is due for completion by September 2012 with an opening slated for 10 October 2012.
