Claesson Koivisto Rune-designed chair premiered at 100% Design London
Sweden-based Claesson Koivisto Rune has designed a chair which was premiered at 100% Design London 2012 at Earl's Court Exhibition Centre.
The Röhsska chair follows a Scandinavian modern tradition of wooden chair design, but is distinctly contemporary in shape and proportions. The chair is made of 100% wood and is made in Sweden by furniture company, Swedese.
The chairs have a special detail that does not seem to appear in the production versions. Each chair features two holes, placed at random, which is taken from the museum's logo.
The chair was initially designed for the centennial celebration of the Röhsska Museum of Design and Decorative Arts in Gothenburg, which is Sweden's only museum for design, fashion and handicrafts. Claesson Koivisto Rune designed the new chair for the museum's newly renovated café.
