Charles Jouffre completes renovation of Le Meurice palace hotel
French designer Charles Jouffre has completed the renovation and refreshment of five presidential suites and Dalí apartment of Le Meurice palace hotel in Paris.
Retaining its historic importance and glory, Charles Jouffre has modernised and renovated all the five presidential suites, which combined together, consist of 4,574 square-feet of space as well as the Dali apartment.
Each of the presidential suites feature rich red or signature green of Le Meurice in its décor overlooking the Tuileries Gardens. The suites also feature Versailles parquet floors adorned with wool and silk rugs from Galerie Saint-Simon.
White marble fireplaces and period furniture are added throughout the hotel, including conserved and restored pieces from Louis XVI cabinets to newly re-gilded cabriolet chairs. In order to present a classic interior, the suites exhibit 19th century paintings on the wall and classic style crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
The Dalí apartment has also been renovated with minimal updates while preserving its historical importance. It features traditional pieces of furniture, opulent window treatments, historic moldings accented with muted gold, and elegant fabrics with harmonious shades.
Regaining the 18th century elegance, the renovated suites of the palace hotel feature stylish classic furniture, light colours with bright accent tones, and noble and traditional materials.
