Catalyst Housing to top out residential scheme in UK
UK-based Catalyst Housing is planning to top-out a residential project called Greenway in Hounslow, Greater London on 21 June 2012.
Designed by MEPK Architects, the Greenway is a carbon neutral housing scheme, which will involve development of 18 new affordable homes. The development includes four large three and four bedrooms family homes and 14 two and three bedroom apartments.
The terrace or balcony of the homes will have single glazed screen, while the windows will have triple glazing. All the bedrooms will have carpeting. The project will also incorporate rainwater harvesting tank to prevent runoff of grey water.
The development is being built to comply to Level 6 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. It will be the first development to meet the requirements of the Mayor’s London Housing Design Guide. The homes are being built to adapt to climate change and will have minimal impact on the environment.
The project is slated for completion in September 2012.
