Casper College in Wyoming, US has broken ground on two new facilities.

The first is the new Music Building which will span over an area of 32,000 square feet. Work on the facility is due to be over by 2013.

The other facility to break ground is the $32 million Student Union and University of Wyoming/Casper College Centre. It will encompass 92,000 square feet. One half of the facility will comprise offices, classrooms, and student services for the UW/CC Center. The other half of the structure will incorporate Casper College student activities offices, student wellness centre, meeting rooms, recreational facilities, as well as food services. The property is expected to complete construction by 2014.

The building funds will be evenly divided between University of Wyoming and Casper College, mainly via state and county bonds. University of Wyoming has also provided a sum of $6 million from historic federal mineral royalty payments for the project.
