Caroline Olsson creates new Bambi Table

Norwegian designer Caroline Olsson has come up with the new Bambi Table.

The design of the table draws inspiration from the anatomy of the knee which allows bending of bones in only one way. The furniture consists of a hinge which implements this principle and helps its legs to be folded in two varied heights to meet different needs. This allows the table to serve both as a coffee table at a height of 45cm and a small dining table at a height of 74cm.

Bambi table features a birch and spray painted steel composition. The location and angle of the legs of the table, along with the meeting points of the joints maintain its stability and help keep it upright.
