Buffalo Wild Wings upgrades outlets' design
US-based restaurant chain Buffalo Wild Wings (BWLD) is upgrading design for both new and remodelled locations in the US in a bid to stay more competitive.
The new design is aimed at making all the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants more chic in appearance. It will include high-top tables for mingling, improved seating, and a big bar with a large-screen television in the centre. This will lend all the eateries a "stadium feel" and provide a better view of the games from any spot.
According to the company, the new design is an important factor to improve sales apart from competing with rivals like Applebee’s and Chili's Grill & Bar. With casual dining chains staying open late, the company is mulling on going more aggressive on its remodels.
Buffalo Wild Wings opened its first restaurant with the new design near Cincinnati in mid-December 2012. It is now planning to open the next in a suburb of San Diego in March 2013.
