Broadway Malyan unveils first images of World Trade Center in Vietnam

Global architecture, urbanism and design practice Broadway Malyan has unveiled the first images of a part of the World Trade Center Danang in Vietnam.

Developed by investment management and real estate developer VinaCapital Commercial Center Ltd., the project will be Broadway’s first in Vietnam. Following an international design competition, the practice is providing a full range of architectural, landscape and graphic design services on the project.

The practice has released the first images of part of the scheme, which is a 46,600 square metre (net lettable area) retail project. It will also be the first shopping centre in Vietnam to include a department store. The World Trade Center Danang occupies a high-profile site facing the Han River and running through the city. It is set to become a major mixed-use real estate scheme in Danang, driving new development on the west bank of the river.

The nine-hectare scheme broke ground in early 2008, with the luxury 32-storey and 225-apartment Azura tower having topped out in late 2011, making it the tallest condominium tower in central Danang. Work on the retail, commercial, residential and hotels is currently underway.
