Brisbane Airport to open new public pick-up area
Brisbane Airport in Australia will open a new pick-up area at the domestic terminal in mid-September 2012.
The new public pick-up area will allow 20 minutes of free parking for drivers who are waiting to collect their passengers from the domestic terminal.
The pick-up area will feature 221 parking bays, seven bays for disabled drivers with relevant parking permits, easy access from the terminal undercover via the skywalk, clear way-finding signage from the terminal and regular rest benches along the way and free parking area for upto 20 minutes.
When the new pick-up area will open, the road in front of the terminal, now used for dropping off and picking-up passengers, will become only the drop-off zone with the exception for drivers picking up passengers with mobility limitations.
