Bluewater breaks ground for new headquarters at Park 20|20 in Netherlands
Dutch engineering firm Bluewater Energy Services has broken ground for its new headquarters at Cradle to Cradle-inspired Park 20|20 in Netherlands, which is designed by architectural practice William McDonough + Partners.
Designed to create an inspirational workplace that supports collaboration, well-being and productivity, the 8,000 square meter building will consolidate approximately 600 employees.
Creating a high-quality office environment, the new facility will feature community gathering spaces and a light-filled interior atrium that organizes offices, and community amenities along a bustling spine. Paying much attention to acoustics, places will be created for employees for quiet concentration, community buzz and serendipitous interaction.
Supporting physical and psychological health through connections to nature, the facility has been designed to allow direct light and air over the course of the day and through the seasons.
The facility has been designed for disassembly and will utilize McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry’s Cradle to Cradle Product Screening to ensure materials are recovered as nutrients for safe, continuous cycling. The facade in the facility will feature a Mosa Tile rain screen system, which is Cradle to Cradle CertifiedCM and can be disassembled and reutilized again safely.
