Birmingham to get new sheltered complex for elderly
Ghulab Ashram, a sheltered complex for senior people in the age group of 60 and above in Birmingham, has been completed by the UK-based Accord Group.
Located in Hall Green, Birmingham, the purpose-built development offers 36 self-contained apartments, a bistro-style restaurant, landscaped garden and conservatory, and a guest flat for visitors. The development also include additional communal areas such as a lounge, kitchen and dining room; which adds to the security.
The scheme offers family-style environment and offers a mix of private living and communal space, which has been specifically designed keeping the age of the residents in mind. The interiors of each flat have been done up according to the requirements of residents.
The Ghulab Ashram is located within a short distance from local shops, amenities, and places of worship of several faiths. The Ghulab Ashram is scheduled to open on 27 July 2012 and will be managed by Ashram Housing Association.
