Bill Snyder Family Stadium's West Stadium Centre to break ground soon
Bill Snyder Family Stadium is set to break ground on its $75 million West Stadium Centre in Kansas, US on 28 April 2012.
The projects forms the second phase of a six-phased masterplan for the stadium. The new centre will comprise a large new west-side structure spanning about 250,000 gross square feet. It will substitute the stadium's original 1969-built facilities, along with the Dev Nelson Press Box which opened in 1993.
The new facility will incorporate expansive concession and restroom amenities, new ticket office and K-State retail locations, as well as a K-State Hall of Honor within a large main concourse. Among its other features include a student-athlete dining hall, new club and loge seats, additional premium suites, and a new press/media level.
The first phase of the master plan involved creation of new restrooms to the east-side upper deck and a new AstroTurf infill playing surface on Wagner Field.
