Big Sandy Superstore Arena receives $4.6 million bond for facelift
The Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington, West Virginia, US has received a $4.6 million bond for makeover.
The facility will incorporate new telescopic seating as part of the project. The new seating will enable folding of chairs and facilitate different types of events. There will also be creation of an exclusive section for the Club Lounge following the facelift. The lounge will sport padded seating. The arena's Hall of Fame room will be transformed into a VIP room consisting of a full bar and a private restroom for Club Lounge patrons.
The arena will be equipped with new and more efficient heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems as part of the project. Its dressing rooms will be reconstructed with the main Green Room being split into several rooms. The Green Room will feature a working fireplace, showers and bathrooms for use of performers.
The conference rooms will also be entirely refurbished. The renovated arena will feature three medium-sized rooms be integrating six small rooms. One of these rooms will be fitted with advanced technology. There will also be a boardroom installed with video conferencing capabilities. An entire wall of the third room will function as a dry erase board,as reported by The Parthenon.
The project is due for completion by September 2013.
