Baptist Health System has opened its fifth emergency hospital in Schertz, a city within the San Antonio-New Braunfels metropolitan area in Texas, to provide emergency medical and inpatient care.

Situated along the I-35 Corridor, the 40,000 square foot facility features eight inpatient rooms, seven emergency exam rooms, and one triage room. It also offers an in-house laboratory and pharmacy. The emergency rooms are equipped with on-site imaging services including X-ray, CT scan, and ultrasound.

Facilities at the fully licensed hospital are open 24x7 a year with specialty physicians stationed on the second floor. The new hospital is staffed with physicians, nurses and other experienced clinical staff.
