Arpin Group completes upgrades to its US world headquarters
Arpin Group has completed a $2 million facelift of its world headquarters in West Warwick, Rhode Island, US.
The facility houses 121 Arpin Group employees. The project has expanded the building by 2,834 square feet. The new addition comprises a new media room, an expanded lobby, and a new corridor which links the office building and warehouse on two floors.
The building has also incorporated various green features following the revamp. It includes installation of solar array with 912 solar modules which meets 40% of the building's electrical needs. The office building and warehouse have been fitted with a new reflective roof membrane to repel heat. The facility also imbibes new insulated solar reflective windows to restrict heat gain as well as maximise natural light penetration. The skylights adorning the building have been equipped with special glass.
The facility reaps energy cost cuts with installation of new rooftop package HVAC units offering full economizer function. Use of occupancy sensor-controlled lighting systems further reduce energy consumption. The property also dons radiant heating in new connector to cut down drafts between connected buildings. Use of green flooring, and reclaimed content to build furniture workstations add to its sustainability.
The facility is due to be opened on 4 April 2012.
