British luxury bed and furniture manufacturer And So To Bed has introduced the new Grand Versailles bed, which is a bespoke bed gilded with silver leaf and embellished with glittering Swarovski crystals.

Exhibiting a royal look, the Grand Versailles bed is decorated with thousands of sparkling Swarovski crystals at the base. The ornamental hand carved headboard is also studded with scintillating Swarovski crystals.

Each crystal is individually hand applied in a delicate process, which has taken more than three weeks. Designed to create a romantic surrounding, 15 different sizes of Swarovski crystals are used on the headboard alone by illuminating the area.

To complement the imperial finish of the bed, the Grand Versailles features an acanthus finial which crowns the bed. The bed is made from mahogany, and is upholstered to order and hand-painted or gilded in silver or gold leaf.

Priced at £14,995 ($15,215.5), it allows the customers to specify the use of crystals to create a bed of his/her own choice.
