AND Furniture launched their unique range of furniture at a packed showing at the British Consulate in Hong Kong to critical acclaim.

Announcing the opening of AND Furniture Asia with fellow designer, Hong Kong-based Di White, Melanie Nelson presented her own current range of iconic pieces as well as those of design partner Angus Addison and other collaborators.

The creation of AND Furniture was born out of Melanie’s need to push the exploration of her furniture designs to more than just one-off bespoke items and to allow her to experiment and elevate the form and function of her products, giving further opportunities to cross over into other media to further challenge her design talent. ‘I believe that furniture design from the 1930s-1950s was the greatest period for the industry in the 20th century,’ says Melanie.

Reaction to the launch from the many architects, interior designers and furniture collectors that were invited was extremely positive generating many enquiries for AND Furniture’s pieces which are available from both London and Hong Kong. AND Furniture would like to thank the British Consulate and its team for their help and support.
