Altus Healthcare to break ground on new medical facilities in Texas


Altus Healthcare Management Services will break ground on two new buildings on 27 September 2012 in Baytown, Houston.


The two new buildings include a 10,000 square-feet emergency facility and a 45,000 square-feet medical office building, which will entail an investment of $6 million and $9.6 million respectively.

The new emergency centre will be located at 1404 W. Baker Rd. in Baytown and will include a trauma room, eight treatment rooms, a triage unit and full radiology suite; as well as other tertiary spaces. The project has been designed by Wali and Associates, a US-based architectural practice.

The new emergency centre will offer a high-quality emergency care services without lengthy wait times to the residents of the area. Construction on both the facilities is scheduled for completion in mid-2013.

Plans are also underway to convert the Baytown surgery center of the existing facility into a hospital some time in 2013.
